What is your name and the name of your business?
Kate Ryan Linens, named after our daughter "KATElynn RYANne"
Tell us about your company and how it became.
Our company came to fruition through our families combined experience in several areas where this type of expertise is needed to own and operate a specialty linen rental company. I personally love and am inspired by beautiful fabrics. My degree is in Interior Design and I worked as the Visual Merchandise Manager/Store Designer & Buyer for several Ethan Allen Design Centers in the Tampa Bay area for 9 years, my husband Dan has a degree in Business Administration from The University of Tampa and has linen and dry cleaning processing experience as he previously owned a commercial laundry renting restaurant linen. Our daughter Kate Ryan is also part of the business and worked through high school helping with set ups and ironing and is now studying Hospitality Management as a freshman this year at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft Myers, FL.
How would you describe your product/service design style?
I would say we are pretty eclectic in order to appeal to a broad range of our customers unique styles.
What makes your product/service different than your competitors?
Careful attention to detail, our in-studio linen consultation experience for our clients, and our quest to make unique and quality fabrics available for rental. Furthermore,we hand press our linen and individually spot treat and inspect each linen in order to offer the best quality linen rental available.
What is your favorite part of the wedding planning process?
Of course planning with beautiful and unique fabrics! Our in-studio linen styling & design experience is centered around our clients style, color palette, venue location, and budget.
What are some trends that you are seeing this year?
Lots of Sparkle and Glitzy fabrics!
What is one overall piece of advice you would give to brides?
Having fine linen is sometimes an underestimated element when planning a wedding, when in fact it actually takes up the most visual square footage over any other decor item. We like to think that beautiful fabric is like this great canvas; therefore, it holds the opportunity to set the tone for the remainder of the design, decor and details.
Where can we find your business?
We are located inside of a former historic cigar factory called "Santaella Studios for the Arts" on the second floor in studio 205. Our studio consulation hours are by appointment only.
